A recent survey carried out by the bank “Monte dei Paschi di Siena” has examined and claryfied the National and International dynamics of the property market.
Europa Group Real Estate sums up here below  the main spots  of the survey: compared with the international market , the homes’price in Italy has gradually increased and this has not allowed property speculation to become a common phenomena in our country.
The operators’ expectations reveal that this market will level off during this year: this means that during economic recession, the purchase of a second home is considered one of the major shelter good (increasing trend of 10% from 2007 till 2009)
As single section, the tourist property market is rising, due to a growing interest of the investors in holiday resorts to obtain a secure rental income.
As a better macroeconomic  situation will hopefully develop during 2010,  an increasing investment on second homes is expcted especially regarding  two, three, four room apartments with one or two baths.
The positive trend of the second home market can be explained with the fact that investment on real good (shelter good) is conceptually and technically different from creative financial products such as shares, futures, covered warrant.
