Bibione is the first European seaside resort that is awarded with the certification Emas (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme): a spezial certification given for constant improvement of the environmental and territorial quality reached in the last years.
This certification guarantees the conservation of nature and the high quality of the sea water thanks to a controlled sewage plant. Moreover it guarantees better beach services, a selective collection of household waste, an attentive urbanization management protecting the environment, creating safe bicycle paths and realizing environmental education programmes.
Bibione has achieved a prestigious target, a very important aim for its own future because the seaside resort is sure that a lot of people will have a closer look at its environmental quality.
The achievement of the Environmental Certification represents a starting point: the real challenge and engangement are represented by the achievement of short and long term targets which guarantee a constant improvement of Bibione´s environment.
