| Bibione - How to reach us |

Bibione, situated in the eastern part of Veneto on the border with Friuli Venezia Giulia, is an island which is connected to the mainland of the Veneto coast by a bridge. Located between Venice and Trieste it is easily reachable by train from Portogruaro and Latisana (A4 motorway - exit Portogruaro and Latisana) as well as from the airports of Venice, “Marco Polo” Treviso, “Sant´Angelo” and Trieste, “Ronchi dei Legionari”: there is also a shuttle - bus connection from Bibione to the airports of Venice and Treviso. The territory, closed to the north and west by lagoons and fishing basins, to the east by the river Tagliamento and to the south by the Adriatic Sea, occupies a surface area of approximately 1.800ha. Vast pine forests covered almost the whole island and the winds favoured the formation of high sand dunes, some of them still exist in the lighthouse area, at the mouth of the river Tagliamento.
Like all the other seaside resorts of the region Veneto also Bibione has got its own characteristics that makes it so uique: its wide and long beach, fine sand and the water of the sea is one of the cleanest of the Adriatic coast.
This seaside resort began to develop tourism in the sixties and now it is a modern town with parks, pedestrian precincts, promenades along the beach, squares and interminable streets, with all kinds of shops and a vast range of holiday accomodations.
